Metropolitan Area (NYC, NJ, & CT) Writing Program Administrators

Work with other members of the board to promote Writing Program Administrators in the metropolitan tri-state area (NYC/NJ/CT). Plan workshops and mini-conferences for those in the composition/rhetoric field. Share ideas among professionals and network about resources available including job openings. The Metropolitan WPA is an affiliate of the Council on Writing Program Administrators.  (2011-Present)

Research Network Forum, Conference on College Composition and Communications

  • Chairperson/Co-Chairperson, Responsible for contacting NCTE/CCCC to set up RNF meeting, inviting and securing plenary speakers and discussion leaders, grouping participants at round tables with discussion leaders, editing participants’ abstracts for publication, delegating executive committee members various tasks including publicity, managing website (http://researchnetworkformum.org), and composing acceptance letters to participants. Oversee new projects.  Supervise the Forum by coordinating and introducing plenary speakers’ talks, overseeing round table discussions, editing/distributing the program, and orchestrating the editors’ book/journal exhibits. Write grants to cover expenses.  (2001-Present)
